Norman's Hallmark has opened a 6,000-square-foot store at the Ryders Crossing Shopping Center, giving shoppers a larger selection of cards, gifts and specialty items in an expanded retail space.
The greeting card and gift retailer relocated to 378 Ryders Lane from a nearby location. The new store is among the largest in the company's portfolio.
"Ryders Crossing is an outstanding shopping destination with an accessible location and a strong mix of national retailers, including Target, Dollar Tree and Home Depot," Howard Henschel, president and CEO of Norman's Hallmark, said in a news release.

A steady stream of shoppers walked or drove to borough park to check out the August 22 market that featured Cinnaholic, Kale and Clovers, Bella Bianca, Popcorn for the People, PickleLicious, Maple Magic Confectionary, Piney's Farm, Dusals and Milk and Honey Coffee. The second Milltown Market had two additional vendors and the Milltown Recreation Department is hoping to add more for the next one on Saturday, September 5.
“It was a success,” Milltown Recreation Department volunteer Cat Satterthwaite said of the new Milltown Market series.

Satterthwaite went on the say that at the first-ever Milltown Market she offered to help Maple Magic Confectionery because they were so busy. She added that the sweet treats were pretty much gone by the conclusion of the three-hour market and that Piney's Farm and Kale and Clovers also sold out.
Jessica Caccio, the owner and designer of Kale and Clovers Flower Design, mostly does events and weddings, but was excited to bring her fresh flowers to the Milltown Market. Shoppers could make up their own flower bouquets in a mason jar or a basket. Milk and Honey Coffee, a mobile coffee trailer, had a line of customers waiting to savor their organic coffees. All the participating vendors at the Milltown Market are either from Milltown or nearby New Jersey communities.

Crews will use Zenivex E4, EPA registration number 2724-807, according to the commission. The application is being conducted in compliance with sections 9.10 and 9.15 of the New Jersey Pesticide Control Code, N.J.A.C. Title 7, Chapter 30, and will follow product labeling instructions.
The commission recommends residents take several precautions during spraying, including staying indoors with windows closed, keeping air conditioners set to non-vent mode, bringing pets, children's toys and outdoor items inside, and avoiding contact with wet surfaces until they have dried, typically about an hour.
Residents who experience symptoms they believe are related to the spraying are advised to consult a doctor. Those with chemical sensitivities or pre-existing health conditions can consult their physician or local health department before the application.
Updated spray schedule information is available on the commission's website. Residents can request at least 12 hours' notice ahead of an application, except in cases of quarantine or disease vector control.

It was another victory for Kyle Price, who crossed the finish line in 17:03.35. Price is a former Charger who ran cross-country and track while at Spotswood High School. Long Island City, New York's Amanda D'Orvilliers was the third-highest female finisher. D'Orvilliers was 29th overall with a time of 21:53.86. South River's Audrey Bruden was the fourth-highest female finisher, coming in 31st overall with a time of 22:03.23. Spotswood's Susan Caputo rounded out the top five female finishers, coming in 46th overall with a time of 22:58.55.
