Early access to the Fall Job Fair will be available for veterans and for individuals who have a disability from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Pre-registration is not required to attend. Jobseekers are invited to bring resumes to share with prospective employers. Free parking for attendees will be available in Lot 6 and Lot 7 .
“Connecting jobseekers with employers is an important part of building a strong and successful workforce, and the County’s annual Fall Job Fair helps make those connections possible,” said Commissioner Susan M. Kiley, liaison to the Workforce Development Board. “The event brings together employers from industries throughout our region, giving residents an opportunity to explore available positions and find a career that matches their skills and goals. I encourage everyone interested in employment to attend and bring their resumes.”
The Monmouth County Workforce Development Board offers services that benefit employers and jobseekers by matching employers with workers who have the training and skills the business requires. The Workforce Development Board also helps prepare Monmouth County residents for careers in various industries by providing job readiness, occupational skills training and job search assistance.

NEW JERSEY (PIX11)– A Keyport dad is calling for cancer screenings in a suspected cancer cluster.
Sal Liguori is asking local businesses and corporations to donate to help fund free blood work and cancer screenings for people living near the abandoned Aeromarine Landfill.
“We’re going to get these people screened who don’t have insurance,” said Liguori. “I want to start with the young people first and go to the older people…just a basic screening to give them some peace of mind and take the fear away.”
The landfill, shut down in 1979, was never properly capped or remediated.
Liguori was diagnosed with leukemia last week, and said he is the 397th cancer case within a five-block radius of the landfill.
“Is there a number of deaths that we need to wake everybody up,” said Liguori. “Is there a number of cancer cases that we need? I’m now 397. Is that not enough for you? Isn’t one enough for you?”
Liguori’s son, Anthony, passed away from an aggressive and rare form of cancer in 2022.
“There will never be anything worse in my life than watching my boy deteriorate,” said Liguori.
He said his son’s final word to him was ‘change.’ He has been trying to carry out that message ever since.
“I just want to wake up and help people every day,” said Liguori.
He’s asking local businesses and healthcare providers to reach out if they can possibly help fund free blood work.
The Department of Environmental Protection told PIX11 News it is waiting for the results of groundwater sampling, expected in late July. In June, the agency installed new signs and fencing around the landfill property and noted it has issued more than $1 million in penalties.
DEP said the prospective buyer of the landfill is also conducting independent soil and water tests, with results expected by late July.

These services are available through the Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey Community Health Center (VNACJ CHC) right here in Keyport, helping to ensure that financial barriers do not prevent residents from receiving potentially lifesaving preventive care.
We strongly encourage anyone who believes they may be eligible for NJSEED services, or who has questions about recommended cancer screenings, to contact the VNACJ Community Health Center in Keyport to learn more about available programs and schedule an appointment. Early detection remains one of the most effective tools in improving health outcomes, and no one should delay seeking care because of cost or uncertainty.
