MANALAPAN, NJ — Kelly Anderson went from consumer to creator, because she was frustrated.
She created the skincare brand Haloed, which launched June 24 in Manalapan.
“I created these products because nothing worked for my skin or my hair,” Anderson said. “I was tired of harsh chemicals in my beauty products, so I began crafting my own.”

After that, word started to spread about the Freehold native’s new products.
“Before I knew it, my cousins, friends, and even strangers started asking what I was using and if I was selling it," she said. "People craved Haloed products."
Haloed’s products are all organic, including skincare, haircare, anti-aging serum, pore cleanser and hair oil.
"We want organic intentional ingredients to be the norm,” she said. “By doing that we can make people feel confident in what they're using every day."
Anderson said other cosmetics rely on chemicals that can irritate the skin. She said Haloed is fully transparent about ingredients.
She also believes that “beauty should work in harmony with both people and the planet,” according to a news release.
For every order placed, Haloed plants one tree through Plantd.
Reflecting on last month’s launch party, she’s excited about the future.
"The launch event marked the end of one chapter and the beginning of the next,” Anderson said. “We built Haloed behind the scenes for about two years and the event signified it really coming to life and emerging to the world."
