It’s almost fall y’all, and that means the season’s most stunning blooms are on their way in the Garden State. One of our favorite places to celebrate the change in seasons is Holland Ridge Farms in Cream Ridge. The farm’s annual Fall Flower Festival doesn’t start until September 12, but the family has teased all of the new attractions for the season.
What can you expect at this gorgeous spot? The Holland Ridge Farms Fall Flower Festival has yellow, red, white, and bicolor sunflowers, dahlias, gladiolus and calla lilies. The team at Holland Ridge spends the better part of summer making sure the flowers will be ready for the fall festivities, and added even more flower-picking areas due to popular demand.
“The work begins as soon as the tulips end,” Patrick Marini, Holland Ridge’s creative manager, had said. “We start prepping the fields and planning the layout of the flowers for the fall event. The field crew spends the entire summer planting, watering and mowing to keep the fields in pristine condition.”
New for 2025 is the ‘Moovie’ Theater, which turns the springtime tulip museum into a cozy theater where you can watch a newly made film about the farm and its family.
There will be six uniquely styled Picnic Pods where you can bring your snacks; you’ll have to rent a pod when you book your farm admission ticket.
Blend Bar from Hamilton will serve beer, wine and mixed drinks every weekend at the Bloom Bar, which is located near the picnic pods.
And don’t skip a visit to the windmill on site. The parts were made and shipped from Holland, but was built by the Jansen family here in New Jersey. You can climb the stairs for a history lesson, plus panoramic view of the gorgeous fields.
Holland Ridge is known for its epic photo backdrops and is a go-to in our area for social media influencers and families looking to take photos for special occasions like maternity shoots, family portraits, birthday celebrations and more.
The family teamed up with Majestic Photobooth to offer more photo opps this season so you can have a keepsake to take home. You’ll get a sunflower-themed photo strip to hang on the fridge.
Throughout the next two months, look for the kids’ play area, a pumpkin patch, food trucks, a tractor-pulled hayride shuttle around the farm, vendors and a petting zoo. On the weekends there will be pony rides, horse and carriage rides, live music, and a farmers and makers market.
Last year, Holland Ridge introduced golf cart-like rides to get around the farm. You can rent a regular gator for up to four people, or new XL ones that accommodate up to 10 people.
